Fund For Teachers and the Bay of Fundy

I am very excited to be traveling to the Bay of Fundy located in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Canada. I remember first learning about the Bay of Fundy in middle school when I saw a picture in my science book that showed the drastic tidal changes that take place there. The difference between low tide and high tide averages 52 feet, twice a day. Can you believe that?
This adventure is being paid for by Fund for Teachers, a non profit organization that grants teachers the opportunity to follow their dreams in order to enhance the educational experience of both the teacher and the students they teach. Find out more about Fund for Teachers at www.fundforteachers.org

During my adventure (August 5-14), I will be researching tidal changes, fossils, archaeology, erosion, and even whales!!! I will be keeping this online journal which I will update with narratives and pictures each evening during my trip.

Please make sure you check out this blog each day starting August 5th. You can click on the "View Complete Profile" link and then "Email" to ask me questions as I travel!!
